What is Virtuoso?

Participants, chosen through an audition process, will work with and perform under the direction of Dr. William Payn. The event culminates with a concert on the stage at the Meymandi concert hall, sharing the stage with The Raleigh Ringers. Two 5-7 octave ensembles (29 ringers) are chosen for each event.

Rehearsals
All rehearsals will be held at Raleigh Ringers Central, in Raleigh, North Carolina.   All equipment will be provided, along with snacks and refreshments. Participants will provide their own gloves and anything else they require for rehearsal.

Participant Responsibilities Before the Event
Upon acceptance, participants will need to acquire the music and learn their ringing position. Group rehearsal time is to fine-tune the songs, NOT to learn the music. Ringing positions will be assigned after acceptance into the ensemble. Music will need to be shared with a stand partner for rehearsals and the performance. Contact information for stand partners will be provided after acceptance to the event.
