Beginning Ringers Workshop– $20
09:30am-11:30am
New to handbells? Need a refresher? The beginning ringers workshop covers the basic ringing skills needed to get started in a handbell choir. Basic ringing, martellato, thumb damping, plucking and malleting techniques are demonstrated and practiced.
Treble Techniques – $10
1:00-1:50pm
Learn how to handle more than one bell in each hand. This class teaches the basics of Four-in-Hand and Shelley multiple bell techniques. All skill levels are welcome.
Stuck in the Middle – $10
2:00-2:50pm
The middle bells or “battery”, is a fun place to be! There can be a lot of action in the music of the middle bells, and this class will give you some strategies and practice for handling what comes up. All skill levels are welcome.
Weaving 101 – $10
3:00-3:50pm
Learn to master two bells and their accidentals, making smooth, swift changes without losing your place in the music or getting your bells “mixed up”. These skills will help you ring more effectively in full groups and provide the basis for solo/ensemble ringing.
Registration for each class is separate, so you may choose the classes that best fit your needs.
