Join us for a full day of classes at Raleigh Ringer Central!

Beginning Ringers Workshop– $20

09:30am-11:30am

New to handbells? Need a refresher? The beginning ringers workshop covers the basic ringing skills needed to get started in a handbell choir. Basic ringing, martellato, thumb damping, plucking and malleting techniques are demonstrated and practiced.

Afternoon Classes – All Levels Welcome – $10 each

Director’s Roundtable – 1:00-1:50pm
This is an opportunity for handbell directors and others leading handbell groups to discuss their issues and experiences with The Raleigh Ringers Music Director Dave Harris.
Weaving 101 – 2:00-2:50pm
Learn to master two bells and their accidentals, making smooth, swift changes without losing your place in the music or getting your bells “mixed up.” These skills will help you ring more effectively in full groups and provide the basis for solo/ensemble ringing.
Bass Bell Techniques – 3:00-3:50pm
Learn the proper techniques to handle the big bells, below C4, without injury, and how to play them effectively. This is your chance to ring The Raleigh Ringers’ “big buckets.”

Registration for each class is separate, so you may choose the classes that best fit your needs.
