Fall Classes – Beginning Ringers & Techniques (All Levels)

Join us for a full day of classes at Raleigh Ringer Central!
Beginning Ringers Workshop– $20
10:00am-12:00pm
New to handbells? Need a refresher? The beginning ringers workshop covers the basic ringing skills needed to get started in a handbell choir. Basic ringing, martellato, thumb damping, plucking and malleting techniques are demonstrated and practiced.
Treble Techniques – $10
1:00-1:50pm
Learn how to handle more than one bell in each hand. This class teaches the basics of Four-in-Hand and Shelly multiple bell techniques. All skill levels are welcome.
Stuck in the Middle – $10
2:00-2:50pm
The middle bells or “battery”, is a fun place to be! There can be a lot of action in the music of the middle bells, and this class will give you some strategies and practice for handling what comes up. All skill levels are welcome.
Bass bells – $10
3:00-3:50pm
Learn the proper techniques to handle the big bells without injury, and how to play them effectively.
This is your chance to ring The Raleigh Ringers’ “big buckets”! All skill levels are welcome.
Registration for each class is separate, so you may choose the classes that best fit your needs.
