DESCRIPTION:Join us for a full day of classes at Raleigh Ringer Central!\n \nBeginning Ringers Workshop– $20\n09:30am-11:30am\n \nNew to handbells? Need a refresher? The beginning ringers workshop covers the basic ringing skills needed to get started in a handbell choir. Basic ringing\, martellato\, thumb damping\, plucking and malleting techniques are demonstrated and practiced. \nAfternoon Classes – All Levels Welcome – $10 each\nWeaving 101 – 1:00-1:50pm\nLearn to master two bells and their accidentals\, making smooth\, swift changes without losing your place in the music or getting your bells “mixed up.” These skills will help you ring more effectively in full groups and provide the basis for solo/ensemble ringing.\n\nRhythm Essentials – 2:00-2:50pm\nReview and practice a variety of rhythms on handbells. Perfect for anyone who has struggled with rhythms beyond whole or quarter notes.\n\nProblem Solving in Handbells – 3:00-3:50pm\nWhen you are studying your part and come across a challenge\, how are you supposed to play that? We will look at real examples in handbell music and review different solutions. Learn when and how to use different tools from your toolbox!\nRegistration for each class is separate\, so you may choose the classes that best fit your needs. Registration will begin in July.
